Challenge # 15 ~ Embossing

Here's a sampler of this weeks challenge.... Thanks to every one for joining in.

This weeks challenge is "EMBOSSING" so we would love to see some kind of embossing on your art work. you could dry emboss use embossing powders or even share some technique with us that you have used (think outside the box) - remember you choose your own format too.... so could be a tag, a topper, a card, a layout, Atc's altered art anything , the choice is yours.

Here's a sampler of challenge 14

For this challenge we'd like to see 'words' on your project so you could use a verse, use a script stamp, even 'Happy Birthday' as long as it's the focal point of your project.......... nice and easy.

Post your creation on your blog or website and link to Arty Girlz, then come to Arty Girlz and link to your site...it's as simple as that. If you would like to join in but don't have a blog or website then email one of us and we'll upload it for you ;)

This is our last challenge for this year and it will run for 2 weeks so our new challenge for 2008 will be on New Years Day :)

challenge #13 ~ Hand Cutting

Here's a sampler of your work.

This weeks challenge is 'hand cutting' so you could cut a flower from patterned papers, stamp an image and then cut out....or if you're feeling artistic you could draw your own design and cut that out.....the choice is yours - remember you choose your own format too....so could be a tag, a topper, a card, a layout etc

Challenge #12 ~ Christmas

As we're now into December it seems only right that this week's challenge is Christmas :)

As an extra treat, everyone that joins in this week will have the chance of winning these fabby goodies which have kindly been donated by Sally from Aunty's Store - Sally is also the owner of Aunty's Forum where Crissi and I are design team members ;)


Sally will be choosing the winner and we will be announcing who the lucky person is next Tuesday...so good luck everyone :)

This week's challenge is 'squares' so we'd like to see squares somewhere on your project :)

You could use a square card, do a 12 x 12 layout, a 4x4, inchies, use square brads..........anything as long as there's at least one square ;)

As usual you can use any format that you choose and we encourage all types of crafters to join in.

Challenge #8 ~ Bling

We are very sorry but there will be no slides of your wonderful work this week as we are having problems with our photo bucket :-( and we just cant get them on here so we will be rethinking the photo situation for next week

This week's challenge is 'Bling' so we'd like to see anything sparkly or shiny on your project - so you could use glitter, gems, metal, anything at all as long as it shines :)

You can use any format for our challenges so you could make a card, an atc, sew some gems onto a pair of jeans...anything. We love to see people joining in from all different crafts.

This challenge has been set by Cynthia aka Rainbow Lady who kindly agreed to be our first Guest designer. We asked Cynthia to tell us a bit about herself and to set this week's challenge:-


I am a retired Craft and Drama Teacher living in the Highlands of Scotland, I am delighted and honoured to be the first Guest Designer for Arty Girlz Blog challenge site.

As my forum name is always 'Rainbow Lady' I thought I should use that as part of the challenge. So - I would like you to create a work of art using just THREE colours from the Rainbow spectrum. In case you have forgotten they are (Richard Of York Gave Battle in Vain, or Run Off You Girls, Boys In View)

RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, INDIGO AND VIOLET.

No mixing of colours please just use them as they are.

Here is my effort done in Red, Green and Blue. Good luck to all and enjoy the challenge, Love Cynthia x
