This weeks challenge on Arty Girlz is 'Transparent' so basically you just have to use something clear/transparent on your creation. So you could use clear buttons, page pebbles, zoomz, flowers punched from acetate, printable transparencies for your scrapbook layouts etc... As always you decide the format so you may decide to do a scrapbook layout, card, atc...anything that you like.
To join in with this challenge please post an image of your creation on your blog or website with a link to Arty Girlz and then leave a comment here with a link so that we can come and see what you have made
We have a special treat for you, the wonderful
Fabrizio is our Guest Designer. Take a look at his fantastic creation !!
Fabrizio describes how he made this beautiful card and also tells us about himself...
I cut the acetate and added some strips of papers at the back. Then I added a fabric flower and a folded paper flower making sure a matching tag was behind....that's on the front so when you open the card you have only the triangle of acetate and the flower and the background trim is at the back.Hi everyone, My name is Fabrizio and I've been living in Britain for the past 18 years. The idea was to come to London back in '91 to improve my English and I never looked back ever since. I've done all sort of jobs: McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Benetton...a brief spot at University which didn't work out until I finally found my dream job in a bookshop off Piccadilly Circus.
What I didn't know at that time is that I was suffering from bi-polarism so after an unfortunate series of events...I found myself crafting to distract myself from a chronic agoraphobia (9 years already), bi-polarism and finally diabetes (ain't I a basket full of fun ? LOL). Anyway, paper crafting was and still is my saviour, I wake up thinking 'What am I going to make today?', it gives me focus and enjoy it tremendously.
I had an old blog but didn't post that often on it until I decided to create a new one on Blogger and I met lots of really nice crafters with their own stories to tell. I also frequent a few forums where I swap cards or ATC.
My style of crafting is quite eclectic, I like to try all sort of techniques and new paper combinations. I'm more a cardmaker than a scrapbooker (my partner, Vince, is the scrapbooker in the family) but I do enjoy creating keepsakes for my friends and family members.
Ciao ciao ! Fabrizio.
